Rome, Italy – March 14, 2024 – World-renowned British toy brand Hamleys has opened its second store in Italy, located in the prestigious Galleria Alberto Sordi shopping arcade in Rome. The store is a partnership with Giochi Preziosi, Italy’s leading toy company. The company also has a store in Milan, Italy.
The 1,360-square-meter toy store is located in the historic shopping arcade on Via del Corso, one of Rome’s most famous streets. The company, which was founded in 1760, was acquired by Reliance Brands Limited (RBL) in 2019. The company currently sells Hamleys toys in 189 stores across 16 countries.
The store is decorated in Hamleys’ signature red and white colors and features popular toy brands such as Lego, Nerf, and Barbie.
“Our expansion into Rome marks a significant milestone,” said Sumeet Yadav, CEO of Hamleys Global. “This store is our second collaboration with the Giochi Preziosi Group (GP Group) in Italy, following the overwhelming love and support we received in Milan. The Milan store, which is also a partnership with Giochi Preziosi, has welcomed over 800,000 visitors since it opened. The company is confident that it will find similar success in Rome. The store is located just minutes from the Trevi Fountain, a popular tourist destination.
