Jabalpur, India - December 27, 2023 - The 38th Indian Engineering Congress (IEC) was inaugurated today in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. The three-day event is being held under the theme of "Reimagining Tomorrow: Shaping the Future through Disruptive and Interdisciplinary Technologies."

The event was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla. In his speech, Shukla praised the role of engineers in society, saying that they are the backbone of India's development. He also said that the IEC is a valuable opportunity for engineers to share their knowledge and expertise with each other.

"This is the first time that such a large event is being held in Madhya Pradesh," Shukla said. "We are committed to supporting the engineering community in our state."

The IEC is being organized by the Institution of Engineers (India) Local Centre, Jabalpur. The event is expected to attract over 5,000 engineers from across India and abroad.

The program includes technical sessions, workshops, and panel discussions on a variety of topics, including artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainable energy, and infrastructure development. The event will also feature the launch of the "IEC 38th Congress" book.

In addition to Shukla, the inauguration ceremony was attended by former Indian government secretary UP Singh, Institution of Engineers (India) officials, and engineers, experts, and industrialists from across the country.
