Uzma Hanif

Water is the most underrated tool when we talk about good health. From achieving a healthy and a  glowing complexion to helping with headaches and giving you a whole lot of energy, the benefits water has to offer are uncountable.
Proper hydration is the key factor in the optimal functioning of our bodies. The general suggested amount for an individual is 8-10 cups per day but our bodies need much more when we sweat, if our bodies are exposed to heat and we are on certain medications.
Remembering to carry a water bottle wherever you go is no less than a challenge but it is very necessary for a person's overall well being.

SUGGESTED AMOUNT FOR MEN AND WOMEN

Mayo clinic suggests that women should be drinking a minimum of 9 glasses water each day while men should be drinking a minimum of 10.

HOW MUCH WATER SHOULD YOU DRINK ACCORDING TO YOUR ACTIVITY LEVEL

A person working out on a daily basis needs much more water than a person who is sedentary. Not drinking enough water can deteriorate your health in negative ways.
Dehydration makes you lethargic as well as it leads to a drop down in blood pressure.
It is safe to assume that for every 45 to 60 minutes of exercise you do, a minimum of 40 ounces of H2O is needed. If the calculation according to your weight is 72 ounces then that number should jump to 120 ounces or 15 cups if you are doing an hour long workout.
