THE HOTEL ROOM WORKOUT

  • All you need is fifteen minutes to be fit during a vacation. The below exercises are great if you are short on time -
  • Squats is one such exercise which can be done by anyone and anywhere with no equipment. The repetitions can be gradually increased as per one's stamina.
  • Jumping jacks is another easy exercise and can be easily done anywhere in least space with your own bodyweight. Go for a minimum of 100 repetitions in one go. They are great for full body toning.
  • Crunches and planks can be done anywhere and are a great ab workout. Repetitions are advised as per your potential.
  • Mountain climbers are a great workout for legs and abs and can be done easily in a room.

HEALTHY EATING IN HOTEL

  1. Request a room with the availability of a microwave and refrigerator. The advantage being that you can easily make healthy food such as oatmeal, steamed vegetables, frozen meals and popcorn.
  2. Always keep healthy snacks handy. Stock up on fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts, granola bars, whole wheat crackers and low fat cheese. These foods resist your urge to eat unhealthy and feeling guilty later.
  3. Refrain from eating refined sugar and saturated fats. These foods are addictive and tempt you to eat more of it. Always eat as you would normally at home thus preventing unnecessary calories and weight gain.
